Trustee

We are an ambitious and committed charity that is looking to grow and develop our impact. This year we are looking to embark on a new strategy which will define our work for the next five years.

The current Trustees provide a diverse range of skills and knowledge. However, the Charity is growing in size and stature, and, in consequence, we are looking to recruit new Trustees to our Board. This is an exciting time to join us as the Trust develops its future vision.

You will use your skills and experience gained from other sectors or roles, along with energy and enthusiasm, to guide the charity through exciting times. You will secure the governance of the organisation, contribute to our strategic future and act as an ambassador for all aspects of our work.

All candidates will need to demonstrate a strong passion and commitment to the charity, its values and objectives. A proven track record of sound judgement and effective decision making, strong inter-personal and relationship building abilities, tact and diplomacy, with the ability to listen and engage effectively.

We would particularly welcome people with Clinical/Medical, Law, or Fundraising experience, but this is not essential. We offer a tailored induction, the opportunity to learn new skills and the satisfaction that you are helping people in your local community.

The Mary How Trust values diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive culture. We actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, abilities and cultures and believe that a diverse workforce including our volunteers will help us to achieve our mission. Should you need any adjustments to this recruitment process, either at application or interview stage, please let us know.

Volunteer

As a Mary How Trust volunteer, you’ll meet wonderful people – and your time will help give people a brighter future. We have many volunteer roles, something to suit everyone.

Events Volunteers help plan our events and ensure they run smoothly. Would you like to help us organise an event? Can you help find sponsors and raffles prizes? Or could you just give a few hours on the day itself?

Coffee Mornings, Charity bag sales/car boots, Cricket matches, dinner dance, Splat and chat, auctions, fetes and more! The possibilities for fund raising are endless.

Shop volunteers help in our Charity shop and are a big part of the community.

Office volunteers help out in the Clinic, administration and reception duties.

If you’re able to spare us some time – we would love to hear from you! Please get in touch.

Thank you for your interest in joining our Team.
